OVW has a long history, going back to its founding in 1993 by Nightmare Danny Davis, and legions of fans – but has recently reached new fans because of its role at the heart of the Netflix docu-series Wrestlers, from director Greg Whiteley (Last Chance U, Cheer) and BBC Studios Los Angeles. The hit show has been praised for authentically showing the hard work that goes into pro wrestling, both for the talent and owners like Al Snow, Matt Jones and Craig Greenburg.
No Rest for the Wicked will feature many of the performers the public has watched on the Netflix show. The event will also feature the OVW Rush Division Championship with Kal Herro vs. Adam Revolver, and the Country Boy Brewing Kentucky Heavyweight Championship with Crixus vs. Tony Evans (and Jay Dinero handcuffed to the referee!).
OVW's weekly show streams as a free-view every Thursday on FITE. OVW also just announced legend Paul Wight will be there this Thursday night – his first time in almost 20 years.
