Zampa began his professional career in Australian domestic cricket with New South Wales and made his BBL debut with Sydney Thunder before establishing himself with the Melbourne Stars and later the Melbourne Renegades. In franchise T20 leagues globally, he has played for teams such as Rising Pune Supergiants (IPL), Rajasthan Royals (IPL), Guyana Amazon Warriors (CPL), and Oval Invincibles (The Hundred), gaining experience in diverse conditions and formats.
He recorded 6/19 for Rising Pune Supergiants in one of the best T20 bowling performances in history, showcasing his wicket-taking ability in franchise cricket.
Zampa’s bowling is marked by leg spin with good flight, turn, and control over variations such as the googly and slider. His consistency in hitting precise lengths and tactical use of variations makes him effective in middle overs, especially in limited-overs cricket where breaking partnerships and restricting runs is crucial.
His ability to maintain pressure through tight lines and generate breakthroughs has made him a staple in Australia’s white-ball plans, complementing pace attacks and offering a spin option capable of handling different game situations.
Adam Zampa is a leading Australian limited-overs spin bowler whose leg spin, consistency, and tactical acumen have made him a key contributor to Australia’s white-ball teams and a prominent figure in global T20 leagues. His wickets and economy across formats underline his value as one of the most effective spin bowlers in contemporary limited-overs cricket.
