Bertrand Isidore Traoré, born 6 September 1995 is a Burkinabé professional footballer who plays as a forward and right winger for Eredivisie club Ajax and captains the Burkina Faso national team. A product of Auxerre and Chelsea's youth systems, he developed his game through impactful loan spells at Vitesse and Ajax, notably reaching the UEFA Europa League final with the latter. After a €10 million move to Lyon and a subsequent stint in the Premier League with Aston Villa, Traoré enjoyed brief periods at İstanbul Başakşehir and Villarreal before returning to Ajax in 2024. An early debutant for his country at age 15, he has amassed over 80 caps and more than 20 international goals, earning bronze at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. Off the field, Traoré hails from a footballing family, was educated at Whitgift School, and maintains strong ties to his faith as a Catholic.
