Francisco Trincão began his football journey at Vianense, spent a brief period with Porto’s youth setup, and then completed his development at Braga. He made his professional debut with Braga B in 2016, scoring 6 goals in 46 appearances over two seasons.

Promoted to Braga’s first team in 2018, he made 33 league appearances and scored 8 goals, helping the club win the Taça da Liga in the 2019–20 season.

In January 2020, Barcelona secured his transfer for approximately €31 million, with the move effective in July. At Barcelona, he made 28 league appearances, scored 3 goals, and lifted the Copa del Rey in 2020–21.

Seeking more regular minutes, Trincão spent the 2021–22 season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, where he scored twice in 28 matches. The following year, he returned to Portugal on loan with Sporting CP, scoring 10 goals in 34 league games. His impact led Sporting to make the transfer permanent in 2023, and by August 2025, he had 19 league goals in 66 appearances for the club.

International Career
Trincão shone for Portugal at youth level, particularly at the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where he finished as joint top scorer and helped his country win the title.

He progressed through the U20 and U21 teams before making his senior debut for Portugal in September 2020. In March 2025, he scored his first senior goals — a brace in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals against Denmark — and contributed to Portugal’s Nations League triumph in the 2024–25 season.

Playing Style
Trincão is a dynamic winger who excels in one-on-one situations, using his agility, close control, and creativity to unlock defenses. Left-footed but often deployed on the right flank, he is known for cutting inside to shoot or deliver incisive passes. His technical ability, vision, and work rate make him a constant threat both in open play and during transitions.
