Hunain Shah is a Pakistani cricketer and right-arm fast-medium bowler. A right-handed lower-order batter, he is primarily known for his pace bowling and aggressive fast-bowling style. He has represented Central Punjab in domestic cricket and Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Hunain comes from a cricketing family and is the younger brother of Pakistan international fast bowler Naseem Shah, while his younger brother Ubaid Shah has also played for Pakistan’s Under-19 team.
Hunain Shah moved to Lahore in 2017 to pursue professional cricket training and joined the Pak Lions International Cricket Academy, where he developed as a fast bowler. He progressed through age-group cricket and district-level competitions before moving into Pakistan’s domestic structure.
He made his senior T20 debut for Central Punjab in September 2022 in the National T20 Cup, where he impressed by taking 2 wickets for 28 runs in his debut match. He later made his first-class debut in the 2022–23 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, marking his entry into longer-format domestic cricket.
His performances in domestic T20 competitions and PSL appearances have established him as a developing fast bowler in Pakistan’s domestic system.
