Luis Carlos de Brito

Luis Carlos de Brito Valdivino is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist better known as “Krikri.” He is based in Spain, having lived in the Campo de Gibraltar area for years, and represents KriKri Fight Team. Sherdog lists him at 178 cm (5 ft 10 in), 120 kg (265 lb) and currently classifies him as a heavyweight.

Although he currently competes at heavyweight, Brito has fought at substantially lighter weights earlier in his career, including light heavyweight. His professional career stretches back to 2013, giving him more than a decade of MMA experience.

Krikri made his professional MMA debut on 13 April 2013, losing a unanimous decision to Marcelo Matias. He quickly responded with three consecutive submission victories: Eduardo de Jesus by guillotine, Valdir Rodrigues by guillotine and Diego Torres by heel hook.

Those early results established what would remain the strongest statistical element of his game: submission grappling. After losing by TKO to future high-level Russian fighter Mikhail Ragozin in 2016, Brito went through a lengthy period without recorded professional MMA competition before eventually returning.

Brito returned to recorded professional action in 2022, defeating Lucas Xavier by first-round TKO. He followed that with a particularly notable victory over experienced Spanish heavyweight David Trallero at AFL 29 in April 2023, submitting him with a guillotine choke in only 37 seconds.

By this stage, Krikri was increasingly competing around Europe rather than solely in Brazil. His career subsequently took him through promotions and events in Spain, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Denmark, Switzerland and Bulgaria.

One of Brito's more unusual appearances came at SENSHI 21 in Varna, Bulgaria, on 20 April 2024. Facing Endrit Emini in an MMA exhibition bout, Krikri won by first-round submission in 41 seconds. Sherdog classifies the contest separately as a professional exhibition rather than part of his official MMA record.

Local Spanish reporting subsequently highlighted the victory and Brito's connection to Los Barrios, noting that although Brazilian, he was representing Spain in the international event.

The later portion of Krikri's career has been much more difficult. He faced increasingly varied European heavyweight opposition and accumulated a substantial sequence of stoppage defeats.

Krikri is best characterized as a veteran regional MMA journeyman rather than an elite international contender. His career has involved taking fights across numerous European promotions, often against younger prospects or locally established heavyweights.

His record nevertheless has an interesting identity. A 6–13 record does not show the whole picture of his experience: he has fought professionally since 2013, competed internationally across Europe, and has demonstrated legitimate submission ability whenever he can bring opponents into his strongest area.
