Round 2 delivered world-class aquabike action on Olbia's wind-stirred waters, as 145 riders from across the globe battled through rolling starts, split-section strategy, and relentless chop. The iconic Sardinian venue once again proved why it's a favorite-crystal water, tricky swells, and a passionate shoreline crowd.
Ski Division GP1 - Drama from start to finish Reigning World Champion Quinten Bossche answered a tough Indonesia round with a statement win in Moto 1, holeshotting to the flag ahead of Oliver Koch-Hansen and Jeremy Poret. Moto 2 flipped the script: Bossche suffered a mechanical DNF while Mikael Poret capitalized and held off a charging Koch-Hansen to take the victory, with Kevin Reiterer and Jeremy Poret in the mix. Moto 3 produced the ride of the weekend-Bossche carved from the very back to the lead, out-dueling Toshi Ohara and Mikael Poret in a sensational comeback.
Overall GP (Ski GP1): Mikael Poret claimed the Grand Prix win, with Oliver Koch-Hansen second and Toshi Ohara third. In the championship, Koch-Hansen moves to the top on 128 pts, ahead of Jeremy Poret (117) and Ohara (95).
Ski Ladies GP1 - Momentum swings and a breakthrough Estonia's points leader Jasmiin Ypraus set the tone with a composed Moto 1 win over Benedicte Drange and Estelle Poret. In Moto 2, Drange answered with a flawless launch and wire-to-wire victory, with Poret second and Ypraus third. The decisive Moto 3 saw early leader Virginie Morlaes crash while pushing the pace; Drange kept cool under pressure from Poret to seal the moto and the overall GP victory-her first World Championship Grand Prix win. GP podium (Ladies): Drange P1, Estelle Poret P2, Héloïse Delcluze P3.
Support classes - Perfect runs and podium battles In Ski GP2, Mattias Reynas dominated with three moto wins, ahead of Carl-Josef Steinberg and Csongar Jasai. Ski GP3 went to Strungari Asai after wins in Motos 2 & 3, with Dorian Jakopanec second and Manuel Leite third. Ski GP4 saw Baptiste Kamels on top, followed by Ander Hubert Lari and Markus Elrak.
