The legendary slopes of Ergan Dagi in Erzincan, Turkey, once again hosted the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship for the third consecutive year - a record-breaking milestone for the sport. Thirty-five elite athletes from 19 nations battled over three days of high-speed, tactical racing on the newly resurfaced 3.1 km course, joined for the first time by the brand-new Open In-line category, making history in Erzincan.
Street Luge Showdown Fresh from his Round 1 victory in Austria, Abdil Mahdzan arrived determined to banish memories of last year's crash. Defending champion Kolby Parks, German contender Ulrich Becker, and Britain's Andy Speight were among the key challengers. In the semi-finals, Mahdzan and Parks secured their spots in the big final after an intense duel, while Becker and Philip Spencer advanced from the second heat.
The final delivered pure adrenaline - Mahdzan seized the lead early, Becker gave chase, and Parks fought his way into a podium position. Crossing the line in commanding style, Mahdzan claimed back-to-back wins, with Becker second and Parks third.

Debut of the Open In-line Category The WDSC welcomed in-line skaters to the championship stage for the first time, attracting top names like Italy's Renato Penutti, Colombia's Carlos Quiroga, Spain's Andreu Greses Rochina, and Greece's Ioannis Pyrovolou. The inaugural final saw high drama - Penutti led until a crash at the tricky Turn 9 opened the door for Quiroga, who powered through to take a historic first victory.
