The Battleground: From the Lienz Valley to the Wall of Alpendorf
Stage 3 provides a beautiful yet highly tactical terrain layout designed to keep general classification contenders and tactical sports directors guessing until the final kilometer:

The Fast Valley Opening: The action drops the green flag right in the historic main square of Lienz. The peloton will blaze through two fast warm-up laps across the Lienz valley floor, building high-speed momentum for a blazing intermediate sprint right in front of the new railway station.

The Long Felbertauern Ascent: The defining, long-range tactical move of the day will take shape as the riders initiate the long, continuous climb through the Isel Valley up toward the Felbertauern Tunnel. This is the absolute playground for elite breakaway riders trying to slip away from the main peloton.

The Pongau Finale: Passing through Mittersill, Bischofshofen, and Wagrain, the race sets up an explosive finish. St. Johann / Alpendorf hosts a stage finish for the 16th time. Known as the Tour of Austria's very own "Mur de Huy," the final stretch features a devastating, steep uphill ramp where perfect timing, explosive leg power, and pristine energy management dictate the winner.
